AfroFind
AfroFind is a UK platform that connects people with African and Caribbean businesses, service providers, and events. Listings, bookings, events, reputation, and payments share one object model, so those pieces are one product instead of separate sites.

The hard parts
- Listings, events, providers, and organisations cannot each be a separate product.
- Customers, businesses, providers, organisers, and admins need different permissions and journeys.
- Trust, verification, claims, and commercial packaging have to exist before the thing scales.
- The UK Afro-Caribbean market is spread out and poorly served by generic discovery tools.
What we did
- Designed a shared object model for users, businesses, events, bookings, reviews, and payments.
- Specified reusable engines for discovery, booking, events, reputation, and payments that categories activate rather than fork.
- Mapped customer and operator journeys, with governance for visibility, verification, and subscriptions.
- Shipped a live discovery product at afrofind.co.uk while the wider operating layer is built out.
What shipped
- Live UK discovery product covering businesses, providers, and events.
- Architecture that can grow from marketplace into operational SaaS without a rewrite.
- A platform built around engines and data.
